Thank You

Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday which occurs every year on the final Monday of May. Memorial Day is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Formerly known as Decoration Day, it originated after the American Civil War to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died in the Civil War. By the 20th century, Memorial Day had been extended to honor all Americans who have died while in the military service. It typically marks the start of the summer vacation season, while Labor Day marks its end…but let’s not talk about that yet.

Happy Memorial Day and Thank You to those who gave everything!

  1. Myself and a couple of my friends have started your training program for the Dopey 2014. So far so good. Just a few question. Do you have anymore details for the core/stretch day (mainly the stretch routine). Also, can we substitute swimming on the elliptical day? We really like the look of this training schedule especially since it includes biking which we love to do. Thanks.

    1. Hi Tammy – Yes indeed, swimming instead of the elliptical is perfectly good and will be a better active rest for you. I do the basic stretches you see for hamstrings, quads, and calves, but also do a couple specifically for my IT Bands. Let me put together a new post that covers this part of the program. I’ll have it out by the weekend. As for the core work I pull a lot of stuff from my Insanity DVDs. I don’t do sit-ups or crunches, but instead focus on dynamic plank work so I get the full core instead of just the front abdominals. Again, I’ll pull something together in a new post for you and your group this weekend. Thanks for reading!

      Happy Training!
      Brian
